FREE CONCERT IN POLPERRO CHAPEL

The choir will be in Polperro Methodist Chapel at 7.30pm on Wednesday 2nd September for their last free 'at home' concert of the summer, following the tradition of most of the past 103 years to raise large sums for charity. The concert is FREE and we will be collecting for our nominated charities for the year as well as the choir's own music charity. Afterwards, the Wreckers will be singing nearby - just follow us!

CONCERT IN ST IVE

Not to be confused with St Ives further west in Cornwall, St Ive church (between Callington and Liskeard) will be a hosting a concert by the choir, with some songs by the Wreckers, at 7pm on Friday 2nd October. This will be a fun concert in an impressive 14th century church with a sundial above the porch which has been telling the time for over 400 years. So synchronise your watch and put the date in your diary! The entry charge is £10 on the door. A pasty supper is included but donations in aid of church maintenance funds will also be very welcome.

CELEBRATING PELYNT CHOIR

On Friday 16th October, we will be helping our good friends in Pelynt Male Voice Choir celebrate 60 glorious years of singing. This will be a very special occasion as we will also be joined by Burraton and Launceston Male Voice Choirs for a wonderfully entertaining evening. The concert will be in St Petroc's Church, Bodmin PL31 3DP, one of the oldest parish churches in Cornwall which provides a large, attractive and flexible space for concerts with comfortable seating, disabled access and on-site toilets.

HARVEST OF THE SEA IN LANSALLOS

On Sunday 25th October, come and celebrate the Harvest of the Sea with us in St Ildierna's Church in Lansallos (PL13 2PX), a reminder of the days when the Polperro Fishermen's Choir was attracting huge congregations to Harvest of the Sea services around 100 years ago. Parking will be available in the National Trust car park some 250 yards up the road (free at that time of day) and the church toilets will be open. Come and join us for good singing, a taste of history and some sociable chat!
