COME AND JOIN US!

From 4 Feb 2026 to 25 Apr 2026

7.15pm

It's always a good time to join the Choir! Don't worry if you missed our recruitment evening in January. Just come along to one of our Wednesday rehearsals in Polperro Chapel at about 7.15pm. There are no auditions! (We just do a quick voice test to see what section you should be in.) If you prefer, send us a message through the 'Join the Choir' page for further information or come to a Wreckers gig to have a chat. We're a very friendly bunch so you will be made very welcome!

AT HOME IN POLPERRO

AT HOME IN POLPERRO

15 Feb 2026

6.30pm

Come and join us in Polperro Chapel for Songs of Praise, where we hope to be joined by the Bishop of Truro. The chapel has been the home of the choir for nearly 103 years, ever since the local fishermen, who sang hymns to help keep them safe, were persuaded to form a choir so that the tradition woud not be lost. The choir in those early days was joined by Tommy Mark, a fisherman who became a noted lay preacher and was known as the Fishermen's Bishop. We hope that our songs will be just as uplifting!

7.30pm (tbc)

Come and enjoy Polperro Fishermen's Choir in a special concert in Lanreath Village Hall on Friday 27th March. On the programme will be some lovely songs about Cornwall, some music written especially for us and one of our favourite golden oldies, as well as some rousing numbers to inspire you. The Wreckers will be putting in an appearance too! Look out for further details soon.

SINGING FOR LOOE RNLI

SINGING FOR LOOE RNLI

23 Jun 2026

7.30pm

The choir will be singing in Looe RNLI boathouse at 7.30pm on Tuesday 23rd June. The concert is FREE and seating is available. Having had a concert slightly delayed by a 'shout' in the past, we should remind you that all the concerts are subject to any necessary RNLI operational decisions and precautions. As the RNLI is one of our favourite charities, please help us support their essential service with a donation. We'll be singing there again on 21st and 30th July so we hope you'll come and join us. We love to entertain!

7.30 pm

The Choir will be giving more free concerts in their home village on 1st and 15th July, 12th and 26th August, and 2nd September, all Wednesdays at 7.30 pm. The concerts might be in the open-air on the quay or the Big Green, or in the chapel if cold, wet or dark, so please check our board by the chapel on the day. We're looking forward to another busy year of singing and raising lots of money for charities and good causes but we couldn't do it without you, so thank you for your continued support, for coming to our concerts, and for your very generous donations. We hope to see you there.
